Private equity firm Advent agreed to buy Sapiens, an Israeli software provider to the insurance industry, for about $2.5 billion. The offer of $43.50 per share represents a roughly 64% premium over Sapiens' closing stock price last Friday, before media reports of the acquisition talks.
