Meta's AI restructure: Mark Zuckerberg announced that Meta's AI efforts will fall under a new group called Meta Superintelligence Labs. "I believe this will be the beginning of a new era for humanity, and I am fully committed to doing what it takes for Meta to lead the way," Zuckerberg wrote in an internal post. 

Robo football: Humanoid robots developed by two Chinese universities played a clumsy version of soccer in what was hoped to be a demonstration of their capabilities.

Treasury under cyberattack: The US Treasury Department has experienced three major hacks in the past five years, including two that have come to light since December. Its ranks of cybersecurity leaders have been decimated this year by departures pushed by Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency.

Wolfspeed, a chipmaker awarded $750 million from the US government last year under the Chips and Science Act, filed for bankruptcy to enact a creditor-backed plan to slash $4.6 billion in debt. The filing marks one of the largest bankruptcies this year.
